CONDUCTING MASTERCLASSES FEES AND CONDITIONS

15th Danube Conducting Masterclass and Competition

TRADITIONAL ANNUAL MASTERCLASS

Venue:

Danube Symphony Orchestra's concert hall and rehearsal room, Danube Palace

Hungary, Budapest, H-1051.  Zrinyi Street 5.

 

Dates:

21st- 30st August 2019          

Music programme of the course:

Mozart: Symphony No.41 (Jupiter)   in C major, K.551 

Beethoven: Symphony No. 3 (Eroica)   in E flat major, Op. 55

Rossini:  La Gazza Ladra - Overture

Strauss: Zigeunerbaron - Overture

Brahms: Hungarian Dances No. 1.5.6.

Bartok: Dance suite 

 

Tutition fees:

Active participants €1200

Active participants – students (valid enrolment proof required) €1100

Passive participants  €200

 

Registration fee €100 ( part of the whole amount)

15th Danube Conducting Masterclass: 15th August 2019

The participant is responsible for paying the extra costs of the bank transfer.

About the course:

During the course the active participants are working on the music programme  with  Professor Andras Deak,  at the half time with two pianists, at the other half of the course every active participants will get 80 minutes conducting time with the Danube Symphony Orchestra.

 

Tuition languages: English 

 

Participation in the course is confirmed with a certificate.

 

Competition:

At the end of the orchestra rehearsals the Professors and the Orchestra will decide which participants will be awarded with prizes.

 

1st.2nd.3rd. Prize: Conducting in the Final concert.

Special Prize: - Given by DSO. Conducting in a concert on the 2020-2021 season  with Danube Symphony Orchestra in Danube Palace.

                         ( The DSO pay  the travel cost (within Europe maximum 300 Euro),  hotel costs, and 300 EURO Fee  of the perfom.) 

 

Final concert: On the 30th August there will be a concert in the Danube Palace Concert Hall with a selected programme from the course repertoire. In the concert the first 4-5 best participants chosen by the Professors an the Orchestra will conduct.

 

 

More conducting practice time: 

We  offer  more practice time possibilty with the orchestra. 80 minutes/ 600 Eu / 35 member of orchestra.  We can give you the possible dates and times after your inquires.

If the participant cancel the participation, the registration fee is non-refundable.

In the event that the masterclass is cancelled by the organizer due to unforeseen circumstances, the course and registration fees will be fully refunded. However we are not responsible for any incidental expenses such as non-refundable travel fares and accommodation fees.

If the participant forced to cancel due to circumstances beyond her/his control, the course fee is refundable, at the discretion of the organizer.
